THE Malvern Sea Cadets are asking local children to save the aluminium foil wrapped around their Easter Eggs this Easter.
The foil will be recycled and help raise funds to support the group’s activities.
Malvern Sea Cadets works with adults with learning disabilities who work with local businesses, schools and clubs to collect and process the aluminium foil. The group sorts and compacts the aluminium before it is sold for recycling with funds raised from the sale of the metal going to the group.
Foil can be recycled in the foil banks sited in and around Malvern, which the group will empty, or the foil can be taken directly to Spring Lane South, Enigma Business Park, Malvern.
Aluminium can be recycled over and over again with no loss in quality, saving 95 per cent of the energy which would be needed to make aluminium from raw material.
