A RUNNER from Malvern who is hoping to raise cash for earthquake relief in Japan has repeated his call for support.
Accountant Steve Ollis, a member of Malvern Joggers, took up the Red Cross Run For Japan appeal two weeks ago, with club members attempting to cover 1,000 miles in 28 days.
But he says the response from the public has been poor, with £150 pledged in the first week and just £15 in the second.
He said: "In previous appeals that I've run, I've got much more than that, so this is rather demoralising. I wonder if it's because Japan is a developed country and people think it can look after itself."
