POLICE have received reports of several attempted thefts of trees and garden plants this week.
Overnight on Tuesday (June 2) there was an attempt to steal two five-foot tall potted Bay Trees from an address in New Road, Castlemorton. The trees were later found abandoned in the road outside the property.
Then between 2am and 6am on Wednesday morning (June 3) someone attempted to dig up and remove a Japanese acer tree from an address in Roberts End, Hanley Swan. Again the attempt was abandoned.
An acer tree was also stolen from the front garden of a home in Ferndown Road, Ledbury, overnight on Tuesday.
Anyone with information should call police on 0300 333 3000 quoting 518-S-030609 for the castlemorton incident and 291-S-030609 for the Hanley Swan incident.
