HANLEY Swan is in the running for the title of Calor Herefordshire and Worcestershire Village of the Year.
The village has made the final shortlist of three for the regional competition and is now facing a nerve-wracking visit from judges later this month.
It is competing against Moreton Eye, near Leominster, and Llanwarne, to the north-west of Ross-on-Wye.
The competition is run by Community First, and organiser Pauline Dumville said: “Our congratulations go to Hanley Swan, Moreton Eye, Llanwarne for getting to the final stages.
“They have all really shone so far on paper alone, so we can’t wait to see how they do when the judges visit later in June. This is their opportunity to bring their communities to life and really prove to the judges why they deserve to be a Calor Village of the Year winner.”
