PUPILS from Leigh and Bransford Primary School have been hard at work putting the finishing touches to their production of the popular musical Annie.
The youngsters, age six-11, held their dress rehearsal on Wednesday and will be performing the finished production during two sell-out shows in Malvern’s Coach House Theatre tomorrow (Saturday, June 6).
This is the second time pupils from Leigh and Bransford have been invited to perform in the Coach House, having staged a well-received production of Oliver last year.
They will be joined on stage by teachers and teaching assistants and class two teacher Lucy Hickman said everyone involved is highly enthusiastic about the show.
“My musical theatre group have worked really hard at this all year and are now ready to give a fantastic performance,” she said. “After last year’s performance we noticed a big improvement in our pupils confidence with public speaking and self expression.”
She also thanked Chris Bassett, of Malvern Theatre Players, for enabling the school to use the theatre.
