PHIL Grove is standing as the Conservative Party candidate in the Worcestershire County Council elections for Malvern Trinity.

He said: “A few of the issues you have raised, via local surveys or on the doorstep, are; lack of maintenance of our roads and pavements, speeding by vehicles on several roads, the need for better provision for our schools and the need for better provision for the elderly.

PETER Lloyd is standing as the UK Independence Party candidate in the Worcestershire County Council elections for Malvern Trinity.

He said: “While I was managing pubs, clubs and hotels, I was too busy and too preoccupied with my work to bother much about politics. But having more time to consider what a state successive governments have got us into, has led me to realise that none of the three major parties has any real inclination to do anything about it, as they would prefer to lie back and let us be governed from Brussels.

“Only UKIP has the bottle and determination to act to restore our borders, our legal system, and fishing grounds which have all been surrendered to the EU.”

BEVERLEY Nielsen is standing as the Liberal Democrat candidate in the Worcestershire County Council elections for Malvern Trinity.

She said: “Like you I want to see our beautiful area of Malvern protected. We’re all fed-up with wasteful spending and decisions taken with no reference to our needs.

JOHN Raine is standing as the Green Party candidate in the Worcestershire County Council elections for Malvern Trinity.

“John and his family have lived in West Malvern for 30 years and he has been a District Councillor for his local area on Malvern Hills DC for the past nine. He has also previously served as chair of West Malvern Parish Council, and as a member of Malvern Hills Conservators. He is currently vice chair for the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and is an active member of the recently established Transition Malvern Hills initiative. John’s extensive public service contribution is complemented by his role as researcher and teacher in local government studies at the University of Birmingham.”
