STEVE Brown is standing as the Liberal Democrat candidate in the Worcestershire County Council elections for Malvern Chase.
He said: “I am an archaeologist, geophysical surveyor and also qualified as a primary school teaching assistant. I am standing for election in Chase Division where I live because I want the voices of local people to be heard at County Hall.
“As I campaign locally people are constantly telling me that their daily concerns, including damaged pavements, speeding traffic and disabled access, have been ignored.
“My broad experience encompasses running my own business, working in local schools and in archaeology, serving as a councillor and studying for five years at university.
“If elected as your county councillor on Thursday, June 4 I will be easy to contact, readily available and always take the concerns of the people of Chase Division seriously.”
MARK Savage is standing as the UK Independent Party candidate in the Worcestershire County Council elections Malvern Chase.
He said: “I live in Suckley, where I run a computer services company with my wife, Annette. I have two grown up daughters and a son at the Chase Technology College.
“I now believe that only UKIP offers the real policies necessary to rejuvenate our country, by returning freedom to people with the removal of unnecessary rules, regulations and political correctness.
“I would like to see the elimination of the state control culture we are now blighted by, and a reduction in the public sector, saving both huge amounts of money and a proliferation of bureaucracy.”
JOE Smith is standing as the Conservative Party candidate in the Worcestershire County Council elections for Malvern Chase.
He said: “I have lived within this ward all my life and feel a great connection to my home area. As a district councillor, I have endeavoured to do all I can for the people I represent and this will forever be my mandate at county council.
“In Malvern Chase we must have schools that work for our children, achieving high standards. In Malvern we must support our businesses, so they can ensure employment in tough times.”
Joe first became involved in politics in 2006, setting up the West Worcestershire Conservative Future Branch and in 2007, he was elected onto Malvern Hills District Council as one of the youngest councillors in the country aged 18.
MALCOLM Victory is standing as the Green Party candidate in the Worcestershire County Council elections for Malvern Chase.
He said "For 30 years the Green Party has been ahead of the curve, leading the way with policies to address climate change, to improve democracy and accountability, and to develop the local economies of the future. In this time of crises - social, economic and environmental - Worcestershire needs the Green Party more than ever.
“Many have lost faith in the 'business as usual' policies of the three larger parties. It is clear that people's real needs and concerns with respect to the environment, transport, housing and economics are not being addressed. The Green Party is determined to change politics and introduce fresh ideas to meet the urgent challenges the people of Worcestershire face."
