A GENERAL practitioner from Malvern has been given an award for his contribution to the ongoing education of his fellow doctors.
Dr David Fuller, a member of the Link End Surgery, founded the Malvern General Practitioner Association and has run it for 20 years.
The association provides a forum for GPs across the Malvern Hills area to meet specialists in various medical conditions and be brought up to date on the latest knowledge about them.
Now Dr Fuller's work with the association has been recognised by the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP).
At an awards ceremony held at the Botanical Gardens in Birmingham, RCGP president Professor David Haslam presented Dr Fuller with the college's Quality Award.
Dr Fuller, aged 56, said: "It's very nice to be recognised for organising the association all these years."
