MALVERN'S most up-to-date children's playground has been officially opened after an £85,000 upgrade carried out by Malvern Town Council.
The council's vice-chairman, coun Beryl Hickling, officially opened the play area at Victoria Park, Malvern Link, although it has been in use for several weeks.
The work, carried out by Play World Systems, included the replacement of all the climbing frames and slides, installation of a new safety surface, zip wire, climbing walls and nets.
It has already proved popular with local youngsters, over 200 children were present when the official opening took place.
The work was carried out by Ledbury firm Play World Systems.
