ENGLAND and Worcestershire cricket star Graeme Hick visited the Chase high school in Malvern to present Year 11 students with their Record of Achievement folders.
Mr Hick entered the school hall to a standing ovation from enthusiastic students He shook the hand of every student and wishing them well as he presented them with their folders.
He also addressed the students, encouraging them to make brave decisions in life and to stick with things until they turn out right.
Annie Williams, deputy head, said: "I am delighted that Graeme Hick was able to present our awards this year. He has been a tremendous role model for young people in Worcestershire for many years and we were thrilled to welcome him to our school. It is especially appropriate that he was our guest, given his own outstanding record of achievement."
