A POWICK-based overseas aid group is holding a fundraising production of the classic play Wind In The Willows.
The Farmers’ Overseas Action Group (FOAG) was formed over 25 years ago by a group of Christian farmers who met a Ugandan doctor in urgent need of transport. They raised enough money to buy him a Land Rover and get it to Uganda.
Since then the group has developed a substantial network of projects, including nurse training, a rehabilitation centre, and a school for the handicapped.
Now the group is inviting supporters to a staging by Heartbreak Productions of Wind In The Willows on Sunday, June 14, at Crutch Farm, Elmbridge, Droitwich. Gardens open from 1.30 pm, for anyone who wants to bring a picnic lunch.
The performance starts at 3pm, and the ticket includes tea and cakes in the interval. Tickets are £15 from FOAG, Ridgeway Farm, Powick, WR2 4SN, or 01905 830745.
