BUSINESS tycoon George Davies, founder of fashion chain Next, was the special guest at Malvern College's prizegiving on Saturday, May 23.
The prizegiving, at Malvern Theatres, was part of the annual Commemoration Day, which celebrates the founding of the school. It was preceded by a service at Malvern Priory, conducted by college chaplain, Rev Andrew Law.
Headmaster Antony Clark said: "On Commemoration Day we acknowledge significant achievement and particularly strong contributions made by students during the year and we were honoured to have George Davies with us to present our prizes.
"In the year ahead, with a bigger school, we look forward to another successful year in which this wonderful school will go from strength to strength continuing to support and inspire pupils to achieve of their best.”
