A MALVERN building firm has won an award from Gloucestershire County Council for its work on a school and a children's centre.
Speller Metcalfe Ltd, based at Maple Road, was one of this year's winners of the council's Considerate Contractors Awards.
The firm built a new hall and classroom for Eastington Primary School, near Stroud, and also build the new Noah's Ark Children's Centre at Tewkesbury.
The award winners were selected in recognition of their excellent service and their consideration of the needs of all those affected by the projects they have worked on.
James Speller of the firm said: "We're delighted to get this award. We work very hard with our clients, and it's nice to see that hard work rewarded."
Speller Metcalfe has also been nominated for an award for its conversion of a disused bank in Threadneedle Street in the City of London. The £6 million project saw the former Royal Bank of Scotland converted into officers and a restaurant.
