Hairdressing students from Malvern showed off their talents in a hair show held at Evesham & Malvern Hills College.
The ten students, who have just completed their training and are now fully qualified hairdressers, organised the event as part of their final coursework.
Family, friends and staff attended the show, which the students organised entirely themselves, from sending out invitations to arranging music and lighting.
The students used the show as an opportunity to raise £80 for the charity The Samaritans Trust. The money will be used to buy two water filters for two families in Africa. It was raised through a raffle and donations.
Course Manager Karen Brown said the students had worked hard to put on a fantastic show.
“It was very professional and the audience were impressed with the high standard of skill demonstrated and the hard work that had gone into putting on a successful show,” she said.
She said the ten hairdressing students had organised the event from start to finish as part of their Level Three coursework.
“This included setting a date, producing and sending out invitations, arranging music and lighting as well as designing and creating the hairstyles for the models.”
She said the students had been very enthusiastic about putting on the show and had put a huge amount into the planning and organisation of the event.
“It has certainly been worthwhile because it was a very successful, stylisg show,” said Karen.
