A MALVERN-based company that specialises in school fund-raising is sponsoring the prizes for a national art competition.
FunMats is supporting Leukaemia CARE’s “My Family: the people that CARE for me” competition, which aims to raise awareness of the Worcester-based charity’s work with blood and lymphatic cancer.
FunMats recently visited the infants section at Somers Park Primary to launch the competition, and is encouraging local children to enter the competition.
The winners will receive some great prizes for themselves and their school. As well as having their work displayed at the Think Tank in Birmingham the winning artists will have their artwork turned into a whole host of products, which will go on sale as part of Leukaemia CARE’s Christmas campaign.
Subscriptions to Think Primary magazine and artists’ workshops will also be on offer to the winners, along with a trophy from FunMats.
Di Pugh, manager of FunMats, said: “Although this is a national art competition, we would love to see lots of local schools taking part.”
The Leukaemia Care competition is open to children aged five-11, for more information log on to funmats.co.uk.
