RUNNERS are being urged to beat the record for entries to The Acorns Triple Run and raise vital funds for Acorns Children's Hospice.
Entries are already set for a record, but with the deadline on Sunday, May 24, organisers are hoping for a last-minute rush to give Acorns its best-ever event on June 7.
The event, at the Three Counties Showground includes a half-marathon, a 5km fun run and the 1km Chicken Run, for people with special needs.
There is also a host of challenges for participants to sign up to, including the Schools Challenge, College Challenge, Corporate Challenge and the Club Challenge.
Kerrie Davies, Acorns’ events manager, said: “The Triple Run is inspiring more people than ever to raise funds for Acorns. Its three-race format offers something that everyone can enjoy and get involved with. We’ve been bowled over by the response, so far, and there are only two weeks to enter this fantastic event. It will be a great day.
“People who don’t want to run can still help our families by calling us to volunteer as marshalls on the course on the day.”
To enter, visit acornstriplerun.org.uk or call 01564 825000.
