HAVE you ever wanted to know how to mend clothes? Or sharpen hand-tools? Or learn other skills needed for self-sufficiency? Now's your chance to find out.
Transition Malvern Hills is holding its first Skills Share Evening at 7.30pm on Wednesday, May 13, in Priory Lodge Hall in Great Malvern.
The Reskilling Group has organised the event to help reintroduce some of those skills that may have been lost in our modern society.
Everyone is welcome to come along and learn about: starting a home-made wormery, mending clothing, sharpening tools, feltwork to produce your own clothes and the effective use of ecologically-friendly detergents.
The group believes these skills will be important in the near future as society is forced to be less dependant on cheap oil.
If you have any skills that you feel may be useful or a skills requests for a future event, please contact reskilling@transitionmalvernhills.org.uk. For more information about Transition Malvern Hills visit www.transitionmalvernhills.org.uk.
