A MEMORIAL service for Heather Harris is being held at St James the Great Church in Colwall on Sunday, July 5 at 2.30pm.
Miss Harris, formerly of Brayside, British Camp, Colwall, commited suicide ten years ago and the memorial service has been organised by her family.
Those who remember Miss Harris are invited to attend the service and a credit crunch tea at the Colwall Park Hotel afterwards, for which a £10 donation would be appreciated.
Miss Harris, a teacher and a solicitor, died on the Colwall line on July 4 1999, aged 57. She worked at Gloscat in Cheltenham teaching building law and spent many years nursing her elderly mother Jean Mary Harris at Brayside. Miss Harris was a keen singer and enjoyed singing opera and classical arias and was involved with amateur dramatics.
The ten year memorial service will feature her neice Michaela Feczko, who will sing, and her nephew Emile Feczko, who will show his paintings.
Her sister Christine Harris said Heather, like many members of the family was artistic and creative and the memorial service would reflect this.
Anyone wanting to attend the credit crunch tea at the Colwall Park Hotel after the service is invited to send a donation of £10 to Christine harris at 2a Beech Road, Norbury, SW16 4NW.
