A COLLISION at the bottom of Pound Bank Road, in Barnards Green, has renewed calls for traffic calming measures.
Last week Malvern Town councillors called on the Highways Authority to consider measures following fears the road would turn into a rat-run with the introduction of new traffic lights in Barnards Green.
Resident Steve Price saw the aftermath of a crash involving a Toyota Corolla and a Ford Fiesta at the mini round-about with Madresfield Road, on Tuesday afternoon (May 5).
He strongly supports calls for traffic calming measures being introduced on the road after a decade of witnessing poor driving leading to accidents.
He said: “I think this road has been bad for a very long time. One of our cars got completely destroyed outside our house. It was smashed into and spun all the way around.
“A few weeks ago a dog was killed just outside the house.”
Pickersleigh ward member William Atkinson had proposed a resolution that the Highways Authority consider implementing safety measures during a meeting of the town council on Tuesday, April 28.
