MALVERN singer-songwriter Clive John is giving a special performance this evening (Friday, May 8) to raise money for the Acorn’s Children’s Hospice.
He will perform a variety of songs at Cromwell’s Tandoori, on the main A449 road at Powick, starting at 7.30pm.
The programme will include “Make The Most of Every Day”, a song Clive wrote specially in dedication to Acorns.
In January Clive’s Johnny Cash Tribute Roadshow, held at Malvern Theatres, raised almost £4,000 for Acorns. In all Clive and his band hope to raise £10,000 for the hospice.
Tonight’s event at Cromwells features a four-course meal and tickets cost £20, including a £5 donation to Acorns.
Cromwells owner Abdul Sattar said: “Clive, one of my customers, suggested the evenings, the first of which raised £400 for Acorns last month. It’s a good thing to help the children who are in such need, and it’s a good night, so everyone is happy.”
Clive himself said: “We are so happy to be supporting such a wonderful cause that helps local people."

“Make The Most of Every Day” is available on CD for a donation of £5 from Acorns on 01905 761220, or to buy on CD or digitally from mixdupstore.com.
