THE Malvern Hills Lions Club is gearing up for its annual fund-raising walk across the Malvern Hills.
The walk is a long-established tradition in Malvern, taking place for more than 30 years.
This year’s walk takes place on Sunday, May 17, and half of all money raised will go to the Lions’ elected charity Diabetes UK. Walkers can choose their own good causes to benefit from the remaining 50 per cent of the money they raise.
Last year’s walk was a huge success, raising £9,000 in total.
Registration for this year’s walk takes place in the Brown car park at the Three Counties Showground. Walkers will be transported to the starting point at Castlemorton Common before walking the nine-mile route along the Malverns to Tank Quarry. Transport back to the car park will be provided.
The walk is suitable for people of all ages, for a sponsor form and to register call 01684 833379. Although registration in advance is preferred, anyone wishing to take part will be able to register on the morning of the walk.
