SAM Isaac, a singer-songwriter from Malvern who has gone from playing fans’ living rooms to festivals and tours all over the UK and abroad, is appearing at Worcester's Marrs Bar next Saturday (May 9).
Sam’s return to the Marr’s Bar comes on the back of substantial radio play for his new single Come Back Home Tonight. Zane Lowe, Colin Murray and Huw Stephens have all played the song on Radio 1, as well as spot plays on Radio 2, Kerrang and XFM.
In recent months, Sam played the South By South West festival in Austin, Texas and a short run of club shows in New York. He was also on Channel 4 TV as part of the JD Set.
His long-awaited debut album Bears is set to be released on Junet, with plans to play several summer festivals and the NXNE festival in Toronto, Canada, already in place. Sam’s music is also being used on the new series of E4 TV show The Inbetweeners.
Next Saturday's gig is a promotion by Sorry About My Golf Clubs, a new club night run Sam and bandmate Burt Hill.
Support comes from Malvern emo-rock heroes The Fallout Theory, Northampton’s My First Tooth and Jose Vanders is from London.
Tickets for the show are available in advance for £4 from www.wegottickets.com or £5 on the door. Doors are at 8pm. Entry is strictly 16-plus with ID.
