A MALVERN venue is holding a handyman slave auction on Friday, May 1, to raise money for St Richard's Hospice.
The auction is part of a ladies-only party night at Clubdance UK in Spring Lane, Malvern Link.
Money raised will go towards moving part of a show garden on display this weekend at the Three Counties Showground to a more permanent site in the grounds of the Worcester-based hospice.
At the auction, local men, including a couple of builders, a cook, a mechanic and an artist, will be offering their services to raise funds for the cause.
The fun starts at 7pm and there will be a burlesque class for all to join in if they wish. There will also be pampering treats on offer.
Tickets are £10 each to include a drink and nibbles. Further details of this and other events can be obtained from 01684 561880 or www.clubdanceuk.co.uk.
The garden which will be mioved to the hospice is on display at the Spring Gardening Show. It is the work of designer Helen Jacobs, of Cromwell Road, who is one of of 12 competing for the Chris Beardshaw Mentoring Scholarship.
Since February, Helen has been chronicling the creation of her garden at a blog on the Malvern Gazette website, which can be found at www.malverngazette.co.uk/blogs/elen_arden/, or see link on this page.
