YOUNGSTERS at Callow End CE Primary School have been making cakes to help the homeless.
The pupils in the school's reception and year one class made cakes at home, then brought them in to sell to each other.
They thus raised £34 for the St Paul's hostel in Worcester, which offers shelter for the homeless.
Teaching assistant Gill Thomas said the pupils did the fundraising because their topic for the term is houses and homes.
"One of the mothers here is a manager at the hostel, and she came and talk to the children," she said. "That's why they decided to raise the money."
The children are due to hand over a cheque to a hostel representative on Friday.
