A NEW page has been launched on the Worcestershire County Council website dedicated to helping residents through the credit crunch.
The page, entitled ‘Economy Watch: Information and Advice for Residents’ has been designed to point people who are worried about their financial situation to the best sources of advice, information and practical help from organisations such as Jobcentre Plus and the Citizens Advice Bureau.
General information about managing money, claiming benefits and finding work is also included.
Trish Haines, the council’s chief executive, said: “I know it's tough for people who are experiencing difficulties right now due to the recession and the last thing they need is a struggle to find accurate, helpful information.
“By visiting our new page, they can find all of the links and advice that are available on one convenient page.
“We're working hard to ensure our county is well-placed to benefit when the upturn comes but I’m also determined to ensure we help individuals and communities who are having problems right now."
To visit the new page log on to www.worcestershire.gov.uk and follow the 'Economy Watch' links.
