MUSIC lovers are in for a treat as Malvern St James school presents a Gala Night at the Opera.
On Saturday, May 2 the Malvern St James Chorus will be joined by professional soloists Emma Johnston (soprano), Richard Pollock (tenor) and Oliver Dunn (baritone) to perform a selection of arias and chorus numbers from the world’s best-loved operas and musicals.
In Grand Opera style the Gala Night will be a black tie occasion, and the programme will include selections from Carmen, La Boheme, Fiddler on the Roof and many more besides.
Malvern St James’ director of music Lynne Linder said: “We would be delighted if the audience would enter into the spirit of ‘Grand Opera’ and dress for the occasion with Black Tie and Formal Dress.
“The evening promises to be a night to remember on the Malvern calendar and we extend our thanks to Malcolm Forbes-Peckham for organising this wonderful programme.”
