A COFFEE morning and bring and buy sale will help raise funds to bring children from Chernobyl to Malvern on a health-giving holiday this summer.
The event, organised by the Chernobyl Children Life Line Malvern and District Link, takes place at 69 Lower Howsell Road, Malvern, from 10am-noon on Wednesday (April 29).
It is now 23 years since the terrible nuclear disaster occurred at Chernobyl and Belarus and Ukraine are still feeling the effects of the contamination.
A group of 10 children and their leaders will be visiting Malvern from June 10 - July 8, staying with local families and visiting a host of local attractions.
The trip is costing £5,000 to organise, and the charity has already raised more than half of that amount.
Anyone who would like more information about the holiday or to get involved with fundraising should call 01684 561358 or email dorothyknights@waitrose.com
