A WATER feature in the centre of Great Malvern should be back in working order by the end of this month.
The flow of water through the Malvhina fountain on Belle Vue Terrace was shut off before Christmas by Malvern Hills District Council after it developed a leak It was feared that water flowing across pavements and Abbey Road could create an ice hazard in wintry weather.
But this week, the council's corporate communications officer Libby Galton said: "We have ordered a number of replacement parts for the fountain and we are now waiting to hear when the contractor, hired to fix the fountain, is available to carry out the work. It is hoped that the fountain will be working again by the end of the month."
