Malvern Town will be vying for their seventh straight game without defeat as they take on Bideford AFC on Saturday, November 2.

Malvern have enjoyed an impressive run, scoring 14 goals in their last five games. Prior to this run, the side had endured a tougher start to the season, which saw them struggle with significant selection issues following a string of injuries.

"It was difficult to change the mindset in that losing spell," said manager Lee Hooper. "Now we have, we have got to maintain it."

The Hillsiders head into the fixture in better form than their opposition, who are winless in their last three, most recently losing 2-1 to Cribbs at home. Bideford currently sit 19th in the Pitching In Southern League Division One South, and will come out fighting with thoughts of potential relegation looming large.

Despite Malvern's superior league position, Hooper is keen to ensure the team go into the game with the correct mindset, saying: "I think the thing with this league is that anybody can beat anybody. Its about going out and getting the job done.

"We lost to them in the FA Trophy so they are not to be taken for granted. That would be going into the game with the wrong mindset. We definitely wont be going out thinking its going to be easy."

When the sides faced off earlier this season, Bideford - playing at home - triumphed in the first qualifying round of the FA Trophy. However, despite having lost to Bideford as recently as September, Hooper still has strong belief in his side for this game.

"We fancy ourselves, we back ourselves to win," said Hooper. "We will go into it fully prepared.

"Hopefully a big crowd will come down and we can get the win for them."
