Evie Richards has finished her season with two third-place podiums in the World Cup series.

The Malvern mountain biker had a strong second half of the season, despite suffering a concussion in April.

She started her comeback with a fifth-place finish at the Paris Olympics.

In September, she beat the new Olympic MTB Champion, Pauline Ferrand Prévot, at the short-track World Championship in Andorra.

Her season ended with two third-place finishes in the World Cup series in the USA and Canada.

The results pushed her to second overall in the XCC World Cup standings and brought her total World Cup podiums to 42.

After her podium finish in Monte Saint Anne, Canada, Richards said: "I knew I had to have a good race to do well in the overall, especially because I missed races with the concussion.

"I had a really good race, and I’m super happy, but I think tactically, on the last lap, I was not quite on it.

"But I’m super happy with the race."

She added: "It couldn’t have gone much better, I don’t think, unless I would have won.

"And to start the year on the podium and finish the year on the podium, I feel like I’ve been pretty consistent with the short tracks and I’m stoked on that.

"I am so grateful to the whole Trek Factory Racing team for all of their support this season, next year is going to be even better."

Richards will now take a short break before preparing for the 2025 World Series.
