Malvern Mavericks got their season off to a fine start with a 55-41 victory over the Gloucester Old Spots.
The game, held at Malvern Saint James Sports Centre, saw the Mavericks showcasing some new talent.
Despite some missed shots, which were perhaps influenced by some summer break fatigue, the swift end-to-end play indicated there could be a promising season ahead for the Mavs.
The Mavericks will be back on the court for their next home league fixture against the Leadonites on Friday, November 22 at 7.50pm in the MSJ sports hall.
