Two swimmers from Ledbury and Malvern Swim Club (LAMSC) have taken part in a national competition.
Fin Ferguson and Eva Bailey represented their club at the National Summer Meet 2024 in Sheffield, hosted by Swim England.
Mr Ferguson said: "We’ve been training all season for this.
"It’s been an incredible experience and I’m so proud to have had the chance to compete with the fastest swimmers from right across the country."
Mr Ferguson achieved his personal best time in the 200-metre breaststroke final.
This year's National Summer Meet was his first-ever national competition.
Ms Bailey also held her own, placing ninth in the 200-metre butterfly stroke final.
She secured fourth place in the 400-metre individual medley final with an improved personal best time.
Ms Bailey, who had previously competed at the Irish Nationals, is now preparing for university in September.
She said: "I’ve had such a great time at Ledbury and Malvern Swim Club.
"It’s the sort of club where everyone supports each other.
"I’m looking forward to new horizons, but will miss my training buddies."
The two swimmers have trained extensively at LAMSC during their swimming careers.
They, together with other team members, frequently participate in inter-club galas around the county, the West Midlands and South Wales.
The club's head coach, Rob Lancaster, joined the club a year ago and works towards supporting swimmers with individual goals, regardless of whether they have national potential or simply enjoy keeping fit.
The club is currently welcoming aspiring Level 7 and above swimmers to register for trials through their website: www.lamsc.co.uk/register-for-trial/.
