IT has been a fantastic season for Malvern Triathlon Club and one that has produced some stand-out achievements for a number of its members.
In particular, it has been a season of great success for the female members of the club.
Ruth Johnstone and Steve Butler have just completed Ironman Cascais in Portugal.
Johnstone finished second in age category in a time of 12:13:42 and now qualifies for the 2024 Ironman World Championships in Nice, France.
Helen Woodman’s World Championship Cross Duathlon win in Ibiza in May was another moment to savour for all involved, as was Sarah Davies qualifying for Team GB.
With the season now coming to a close, the club held its annual awards evening and Colin Davies was awarded Club Member of the Year for his commitment to coaching.
Other awards included Georgia Razavi-Hart for Best Newcomer and Sarah Davies for Most Improved.
During the inter break, the club will be continuing the monthly 5 and 10k social runs around Malvern and other training including swim training and spin at Malvern Splash.
