There will be a minute's applause before Malvern RFC's Midlands 1 West league match with Kenilworth this weekend in memory of Jack Jeffery, the Evesham rugby players who died tragically last weekend whilst playing for his club.
Both clubs have also agreed to retire the number 11 shirt, the number Jack played with, for the game as a mark of respect.
A club post on malvern's Facebook read: "We cannot bring Jack back to his family, friends and teammates. However we will with our guests Kenilworth show respect, compassion and a sense of empathy with the saddest of events."
Malvern will be looking to bounce back this weekend after the 38-12 derby defeat at Hereford last weekend.
The visitors felt the full force of a dominant first-half display by their hosts, who scored five converted tries in the opening forty minutes to lead 35-0 at the break.
A drop-goal early in the second period made it 38-0 before Malvern battled back and scored two tries through Dan Batty and Ross Davies.
The defeat leaves Malvern in 11th position in the Midlands 1 West table, whilst Hereford move to within two points of eighth placed Old Halesonians.
Malvern host high-flying Kenilworth at Spring Lane this weekend looking to end a run of two straight defeats but the visitors have won nine of their last 10 matches in the league and beat Malvern 59-14 in the reverse fixture back in October.
