THE six members of Malvern Hills District Council's executive committee have been appointed.
The executive committee is responsible for some of the council's most important work, with each member taking on a portfolio of important responsibilities.
Paul Cumming, Roger Hall-Jones, Philip Grove and David Watkins will sit on the committee, along with council leader Serena Croad and deputy leader Ralph Madden.
Coun Croad's portfolio focuses on community leadership, and supporting children and young people. Coun Madden takes responsibility for resources and financial services, as well as overall performance.
Coun Cumming takes on the customer focus portfolio and Coun Hall-Jones will handle the planning, housing and transport portfolio, and will tackle rural regeneration along with Coun Grove, who will handle community safety and economic development. Coun Watkins' portfolio is for environmental control.
Following elections earlier this month, the council comprises 31 Conservatives, and seven members of a newly formed Liberal Democrat/Green/Independent alliance.
The alliance is led by Tom Wells, who will also chair the overview and scrutiny committee.
