PLANS to create 23 allotments in Malvern Link will be discussed at a meeting of Malvern Town Council next week.
The council's Operations Committee will decide whether to resubmit the plans, for land off Greenfields Road, after proposals for 48 allotments on the site were rejected by district council planning officers.
The allotments would each have a lockable tool shed and parking for eight vehicles would be provided.
The Town Council currently has a waiting list of 34 people wanting an allotment and might be forced to close the existing Madresfield Road site in around five years time to allow Malvern Cemetery to expand.
The situation will be discussed at a meeting on Tuesday, June 5, at the Town Council Offices in Belle Vue Terrace.
