CHILDREN at Leigh and Bransford Primary School can enjoy a taste of the seaside thanks to a new sandpit.
The school's new addition was christened by delighted children last Tuesday.
Playworld Systems, in Ledbury, donated the pit and local building contractors K J Allton then offered to build it a lid, using donated materials. The friends of the school group provided the sand.
"We're delighted with the sandpit, and the way so many different groups came together to make it happen," said deputy head Julie Wills. "We'd like to say thank you to everybody who has given their time and services to help us - we're very grateful."
She said the children were very excited about the new sandpit.
"It's provided a wonderful addition to the outside learning environment, and adds a stimulating and vibrant aspect to children's play."
