PUPILS from a Malvern primary school have enjoyed a visit to an outdoor education centre under threat of closure.
The children, from the oldest class at St James CE School, West Malvern, went to the Llanrug centre in North Wales, which like its counterpart in West Malvern, could be closed by Worcestershire County Council.
Head Karen Surrall said: "We had a great time and the children rock-climbed, canoed and gorge-walked for two days. As an eco school, we always try to look for the green option and so we travelled from Malvern to Bangor by train. On the way to Bangor, we broke our journey in Hereford, visiting the Old House and the Cathedral before continuing to north Wales."
