A WORCESTERSHIRE author has launched his latest book exploring the pubs and churches of the county's villages.

It is the second book from Roy Millar of Malvern, and all profits from the book will go to St Richard's hospice.

The book was launched at the St Richard's Snowdrops bookshop in Reindeer Court, Worcester, and will now be on sale at the charity's shops in the area and other venues.

Mr Millar said: "Worcestershire is rich in history and has many of the finest villages in the British Isles with some wonderful churches and pubs.

"I hope many readers will enjoy this insight into many of the most fascinating places in the county."

The book is illustrated by Evesham artist Barbara Butcher, who is known by many for her landscape and floral paintings.

St Richard's Hospice fund-raising manager Tricia Cavell welcomed Mr Millar's generous contribution.
