RESIDENTS can have their say on plans to rejuvenate the forecourt at Malvern Library.

Worcestershire County Council has unveiled plans for an external makeover of the library in Graham Road as part of a £79,000 joint project with Malvern Hills district and Malvern town councils.

Plans are on display at the library until Sunday, June 3, and people are encouraged to make comments on them.

Changes include closing an entrance at the corner of Graham Road and Como Road, and making a new entrance with steps down from Graham Road, increasing visibility of the grounds.

County council economic development officer Margaret Gray said: "It will make such a difference to the building, and it is also a very good example of partnership working."

The council will apply for planning permission shortly and expects work this autumn for completion ahead of Remembrance Day celebrations.
