TRADERS on Malvern's Belle Vue Terrace have got together to launch a treasure hunt as part of the celebrations surrounding the Elgar 150th birthday.
The treasure hunt was the brainchild of Pat Keeling, who owns Simply Sewing.
She found neighbouring shopkeepers eager to take part. Ten traders have contributed prizes, with a total value of £300, for one lucky winner.
Taking part is easy. All participants have to do is obtain the entry form, which is available from all participating traders, and start hunting down the answers to the questions, which can only be discovered by visiting all of the shops.
Apart from Simply Sewing, the other businesses taking part are W H Smith, The Dressing Room, Malvern Curtains, Sarah Jane's Interiors, Iapetus, Malvern Hills Art, Severn Office Systems, Forget-Me-Not and Robson Ward.
The prizes include gift vouchers, a bead-embroidered wall hanging, a Swedish glass sculpture and a beech towel rail, and the competition runs from Tuesday, May 29, to Saturday, June 2. The winner will be announced on Saturday, June 9. "We really hope this will encourage people to visit Belle Vue Terrace and see what an interesting range of shops we have up here," said Mrs Keeling.
