GARDENERS and walkers alike can enjoy the natural beauty of the grounds at Shuttifield Cottage, as it opens its doors to the public.
The gardens at Birchwood, near Storridge, will be open to raise funds for charity under the National Gardens Scheme tomorrow (Saturday).
Visitors can admire three acres of mature gardens, with developed herbaceous borders, primula and stump beds and rose and vegetable gardens.
Walkers can also wander in the 20-acre wood, with ponds and natural wild areas, where rhodedendrons, bluebells and azalea flourish.
Owners Angela and David Judge said everyone was welcome to come along, and they hoped for a good number of visitors on the day.
The gardens will be open from 1pm to 5.30pm. Teas will be served, and admission is £3.50 for adults and free for children. For further details, call Mr or Mrs Judge, on 01886 884243.
