INFORMATION is being sought about the dumping of unwanted building materials, including asbestos, in the area.

Old guttering, drain pipes and fascia boards were dumped in a track leading to a field in Cotheridge at the weekend.

Due to the presence of asbestos, it will cost Malvern Hills District Council between £800 and £1,000 to have the rubbish removed.

Council officers believe those responsible might have links with the Leigh Sinton area. They want anyone in that area who has had fascia and guttering replaced since May 10 to contact them, with the names of the people carrying out the work.

There will be no recrimination against the householders and all calls will be treated in the strictest of confidence.

Some of the dumped drain pipes and guttering sections are green and the fascia boards are white and brown plastic.

Call Malvern Hills District Council on 01684 862151 and ask for the Street Scene team.
