STUDENTS from Europe and Australia came to Malvern on Saturday as guests of the county branch of the English Speaking Union.
The reception at the College Road home of ESU members Jim and Sonia Chance welcomed Elena Plesco and Victoria Mihalachi, from Moldova, Aleksandra Antonkiewics, from Poland, and Australia's Amelia Samuels.
They had been competing in the ESU's international public speaking competition in London and gave samples from their presentation on the Bio-Dynamic World.
Midlands MEP and branch president Malcolm Harbour summed up the students' arguments and spoke about the importance of English in the European Community.
Branch chairman David Llewellyn brought the presentation to a close before a buffet.
