MALVERN Hills Primary School has won a Leading Aspect Award for enhancing learning through a Forest School.
The Forest School concept uses the outdoor environment to support areas of the curriculum like language and literacy, science, art, geography and personal and social development.
The award recognised Malvern Hills Primary as a leader of good practice in schools. Judges noted that the use of Forest School has impacted on the whole community.
Andrew Chilman, acting headteacher, said: "The Forest School facility offers a unique opportunity for children to develop initiative and confidence in a protected area and we are delighted to have been given this award."
