Caroline Bovey was elected as vice-chairman when the council met on Tuesday.

The council also decided to incorporate its administration committee into the finance and administration committee, which will be chaired by Paul Tuthill.
Ian Hopwood will chair the best value and scrutiny committee with John Wilcox heading the operations committee. Members also decided to continue with the title chairman of the council', rather than reverting to having a town mayor.
