A PROPOSED make-over for Olivers Café Bar, on Belle Vue Terrace, looks to be back on the cards.
In 2005, owner Tony Wilkinson was given planning permission to refit the popular bar, and expand into adjacent premises currently occupied by Rachel's Baguettes, which he also owns.
He also spoke of plans to serve bar food during lunch times and early evenings. A new planning application for internal alterations to maximise floor space, by removing internal walls and bringing an existing storage cellar back into use, has now been submitted.
It states that changes to the entrance will be made in line with previously approved plans, and that the toilets will be moved to the rear of the building, allowing more room for bar space and seats.
Mr Wilkinson was unavailable for comment.
