Rosemary Baugh is doing the Moon Walk just six months after receiving the all-clear following her four-and-a-half year battle with breast cancer.
Mrs Baugh, 67, and her friend Gill Patten, both from Malvern, have prepared for the race by training on the hills for over a year "Hopefully the distance won't be a problem, it's the walking through the night that will be the unusual bit," said Mrs Baugh.
"I can't wait for it to happen though - friends who have done it before have told me the atmosphere is just electric."
Mrs Baugh will be cheered on by daughter Ondrea Roberts at the event and has already managed to raise more than £1,100 in sponsorship.
