CELEBRATE the 150th anniversary of Sir Edward Elgar's birth at a special garden party being held in Welland.
On Saturday, June 2, Charlotte and Bill Carver are opening their home to friends, neighbours and anyone who wants to help celebrate the life of the famous Malvern composer.
A selection of stalls will sell everything from plants and books to silks and jewellery, while a raffle has prizes including tickets to see music and firework extravaganza Elgar and Friends at the Three Counties Showground.
The Elgar School of Music will provide entertainment and guests can test their aim with a spot of archery.
Edwardian or patriotic fancy dress is optional and there will be a prize for the best dressed boy and girl aged under 16.
The party takes place at Bidders Croft, near the Anchor Inn, Welland, from 2-6pm.
There will be afternoon tea and birthday cake from 3pm.
