TWO schools from Malvern took part in the Young Enterprise Strategic Final this week.
As well as hosting the event, Malvern St James Girls' College and School entered with its firm, Cliche. Pupils who set up Cut to the Chase, from The Chase high school, were also successful in the reaching Wednesday's final.
A total of eight Young Enterprise companies from schools throughout Worcestershire and Herefordshire each took centre stage to perform an eight-minute presentation to a 200-strong audience on the highs and lows of running a business from the start of the academic year to the present.
While Cut to the Chase did not come away with any awards, Cliche won two - most entrepreneurial company and a corporate governance award, for student Sophia Meredith.
Cliche sold handmade beach bags, purses, cushions, and jewellery and handmade African scarves known as Kikoys.
